Around 580 species of wild bees live in Germany. As pollinators, they ensure agricultural yields, especially in fruit and vegetable cultivation. In addition, their pollination activities preserve the diversity of wild flowers. However, the habitat for wild bees and other insects is becoming scarce. There is a lack of food and nesting opportunities.
