About this Event
The leading members of the GDR government such as Wilhelm Pieck, Walter Ulbricht and Otto Grotewohl lived in the immediate vicinity of Schönhausen Palace - on Mayakovskiring. From 1949 to 1960, the oval street enclosed by a board fence, colloquially known as the "little town", was the exclusive residential area for top GDR politicians.
