Unlearning colonialism

About this Event

Coming to terms with colonialism in German history remains a relatively unexplored area of the map of remembrance culture. In the cemetery on Columbiadamm stands the so-called Herero Stone—a relic from the colonial era—which, in its current state, raises more questions than it answers. In 2023/24, the Neukölln Museum, together with the Namibian artist Isabel Tueumuna Katjavivi, curated the exhibition BURIED MEMORIES on this topic.
