At the end of October, the summer season draws to a close and the Sanssouci Picture Gallery closes its doors for the winter. The special guided tour offers visitors the unique opportunity to be guided exclusively by the curator of paintings, Dr. Alexandra Nina Engel, through Frederick II's gallery, which is actually already in hibernation. She will provide information about the history and architecture of the oldest preserved gallery building in Germany and explain how the king succeeded in building up one of the most important collections of paintings in Europe in a short time.
