The Mozilla Meetup series continues with talks focused on modern web technologies. **18:00** \- Doors open **18:30** \- Everyone’s a Performance Engineer: How to optimize your website with the Firefox Profiler In this talk, we’ll take a practical look at the Firefox Profiler, an open-source tool for understanding how software performs in the real world. You’ll learn how to interpret profiling data, see the difference between measured and reported performance, and discover how sampling profilers visualize what’s happening inside your application. We’ll also profile a website together and explore how to use the profiler effectively to uncover real performance insights. Bio: Nazım Can Altınova is a software engineer on the Firefox Performance Tools team, working on the Firefox Profiler. **19:30** \- Fingerprinting Protections: Making strong privacy work for everyone In this talk, we will look into Fingerprinting as one of the most invasive tracking mechanisms on the web and what Firefox has been doing to protect against this. We will talk about fingerprinting in the wild, what makes a user unique and how to ship something that does not make web pages unusable. Bio: Frederik Braun is a security engineer and manager working on Firefox.
