Join us for a hands-on, collaborative **5-hour system design workshop** based on the comprehensive 7-lesson HelloInterview system design crash course (https://www.hellointerview.com/learn/system-design/in-a-hurry/introduction) ### **Lesson Walkthroughs** We’ll work through the tutorial together: * Spend **20 minutes** reading each chapter individually * Then take turns **presenting a summary of the chapter** to the group This “read-and-teach” format helps reinforce concepts and build communication skills. * We take turns in being the person that presents the current chapter. ### 🛠 **System Design Exercises** We’ll also tackle **at least two real-world system design exercises**. For each exercise: * **15 minutes** of individual design time * **10 minute** of presentations, feedback, and discussion * we try to do 2-3 such rounds of "design then feedback" for each problem * the design exercises are found in the tutorial (for example https://www.hellointerview.com/learn/system-design/problem-breakdowns/bitly) ### 🧑💻 **Requirements** Participants should: * Know how to code in **at least one programming language** * Bring a **laptop** and **charger** (or have battery for 5 hours) * Bring **paper and pencils** for sketching designs These materials help you follow the lessons and articulate system diagrams effectively. ### 💬 **Atmosphere & Logistics** The workshop is **free**, but please support the venue by purchasing **a beverage**. There will also be a 20 min pause, if you want to order snacks. Expect a friendly, collaborative environment where we learn by doing and improve together. This workshop is for anyone preparing for technical interviews or looking to strengthen their architectural reasoning.
