Recently, the church historian Johann Anselm Steiger came across an unknown funeral poem that the hymn writer Paul Gerhardt (1607-1676) wrote for Hendrina Magdalena Seidel (1657-1662), who died at the age of five and was buried in St. Nicholas Church. Nothing else is known about the daughter of the lawyer and court judge Martin Friedrich Seidel (1621-1693).
