Book in advance
For the next meetup, we’ll leave the open park paths behind and walk into the depth of Treptower Park, toward a quiet, secluded spot in the forest for a more wilderness-oriented sit. This session is inspired by the **thudong** tradition: the forest wandering practice of Buddhist monks, and the spirit with which Ajahn Lee and his followers helped revive it. We’ll reflect on practice in places that stir fear and awe — remote forests, mountain edges, the unknown — and on the training of the mind that does not run from danger, fear, ghosts, or inner projections. We may touch on stories of the Buddha facing the enraged elephant, meeting Angulimala, and the broader question of what it means to remain inwardly unshaken. **Structure:** * Tea and short introduction * 20 min metta * 20 min samatha * 20 min vipassana * Tea and informal exchange afterward Quiet, grounded, and practice-focused. Bring something to sit on, a hat, dress for the forest, and be ready for a short walk in. Location: **Treptower Park / Plänterwald** We’ll meet at the **Archenhold Observatory**, then head together to the sitting spot. [Join our Telegram group](https://t.me/+mNcEV0--Rho0OTgy)
