You’ve been meaning to make a film… but somehow it never happens. The **Movie Nerds Filmmaking Challenge** is here to change that. Over the next **8 weeks**, we challenge you and ourselves to write, shoot, and finish a short film. At this kick-off event we will: * reveal the **official challenge prompt** * explain the **rules and timeline** * share tips on **how to make a film** within the challenge timeframe * **creative sessions** to get you into gear * help you **find collaborators** if you want to work in a team You can join as a **director, writer, actor, cinematographer, editor**, or just someone curious about filmmaking. Beginners and experienced filmmakers are welcome. **Challenge timeline** Kick-off event — 15 March Film deadline — 8 May Community screening — 10 May Films should be **2–12 minutes long** and must be filmed during the challenge period.
