Lea Streisand meets satirist Alexander Estis

Alexander Estis is the high priest of Jewish humor! His article "Dear Anti-Semites!" in the Süddeutsche Zeitung in November 2023 made Lea Streisand laugh for the first time since the disturbing reactions to the attacks of October 7th.This laughter first led to a collaboration and then a friendship. Unfortunately, the two meet far too rarely, as Alex lives the life of a knight errant, moving from city to city, from scholarship to scholarship. The 2023 Tucholsky Prize winner currently resides in Dresden. His new volume of satires, "In the Beginning Was Schmonzes," will be published in October 2025.IN GERMAN
