
Claire Waldoff was the star of the big cabarets and variety shows from 1907 to 1935 - not just in Berlin. Their songs were sung or whistled in the streets by garbage collectors and millionaires. “His name is Hermann!”, “Who throws clay there?” or “His milieu” was something every child knew.
