Harry's Freilach from Berlin plays Klezmer music. This music originated in Eastern European Jewish communities and is influenced by Eastern European and Oriental harmonies and rhythms. The melodies are joyful and dance-like, melancholic and contemplative, or tragically expressive, sometimes solemn, sometimes wildly energetic, but always possessing a special intensity.
