Hansel and Gretel is perhaps the most famous fairy tale in Europe. The songs "Suse, dear Suse, what's rustling in the straw" and "Brüderchen, come dance with me" are at least as well known. Perhaps less well known is the fact that they were composed by Engelbert Humperdinck.
