Empathy Letters! Expressing love, grief, other, with brushes and typewriters

Join us for a cozy screen-free time to make art and to write on vintage typewriters. Family-friendly. To register: go to linktr.ee/cozyberlin Cost: Pay what you want 5€ materials fee plus what you can afford to compensate me for my investment. Schedule: Join between 13 and 13:30 for a tea, coffee, chat, and picking your seat. At 13:30 there will be an introduction and brief tutorial on typewriter use and typing technique. At 15:30, we will do a group check-in, with a chance to share what we made and how the experience felt. Holiday Cards: A variety of nice paper and envelopes provided, along with brushes and quality inks. Sample techniques provided to get you going, or total freedom to play around. Love Letters: Helpful prompts provided for you to choose from. The idea is to put into writing something about the love you feel for yourself or someone else. It is a chance to reflect on feelings and experiences and express appreciation, affection, understanding, respect, care, etc. Maybe it is written to a parent, a sibling, a partner, a child, yourself. How does this relationship fulfill your needs for meaning, connection, support, security, trust, peace, freedom, acceptance? Grief letters: What are you mourning? *** Slowing down and putting these thoughts into words and carefully typing them out on manual typewriters: I am certain this will be a good experience for you and the result will be a beautiful and meaningful gift.
