In ‘Die Seherin’ (The Seer), Ursina Lardi plays a war photographer: in search of subjects of horror, she travels to crisis areas around the world. It seems as if she is always one step ahead of suffering and terror, and invulnerable herself. But then she experiences the meaning of violence first-hand. The celebrated war photographer becomes a bitter Cassandra who fights against the blindness of our time. We experience the abysses and loneliness, the cynicism and wisdom of a person who has seen everything.
