
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of reunification and one year after the symposium “Der Westen musste nicht im Osten ankommen. The Consequences of the Transformation 1989/1990 for the Art World” at Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, Sarah Alberti talks to the four artists Dana Lorenz, Sophia Kesting, David Polzin and Eric Meier about their perspectives on the consequences of reunification and their respective artistic approaches, which are dedicated to the complex topic through documentary photography, sculpture and humour.
