To kick off the new literature series on RT, Christian Brückner presents Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea." Published in 1952, the work, which significantly contributed to Hemingway's Nobel Prize, is still considered a milestone of modern literature. Brückner reads excerpts from the story of the fisherman Santiago, a tale of perseverance, dignity, and humanity's struggle against the elements. The translation is by Werner Schmitz.
