Bernauer Strasse was one of the focal points of German division. Here, the full range of consequences of the Wall's construction can be seen: the destruction of urban space and livelihoods, the separation of family members and friends, and the attempts to overcome the Wall. As part of Berlin Freedom Week, visitors have the opportunity to explore the history of the Berlin Wall as part of a free Turkish-language guided tour.
