
for FLINTA* On the occasion of March 8, C/O Berlin is offering an exclusive photography workshop designed for FLINTA* photographers who want to reflect on and deepen their artistic practice. What does authenticity in photography mean? How can artists align personal convictions with external influences? The Art & Authenticity Photography Workshop is designed to help participants refine their visual language, strengthen their artistic integrity, and build a solid foundation for future projects.Over the course of two days, the workshop will provide an immersive space for reflection, analysis, practical exercises, and creative inspiration. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their artistic voice, explore new ways to develop their practice, and identify personal strengths, challenges, and future goals.Led by Eva Gjaltema and Mirjana Vrbaski, both with over 20 years of experience in photography, the workshop fosters an open exchange of knowledge and artistic insight. Their mission is to help participants sharpen their unique expression, refine their visual language, and elevate their work to the next level.* female, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agenderEva Gjaltemais a Dutch visual artist based in Berlin since 2012. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Amsterdam (2004) and a BA in Photographic Design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague (2008). Her work explores contemporary themes, with a focus on identity, relationships, and memory, often incorporating analog collage and mixed-media techniques. Eva has been teaching photography since 2009 and is currently completing an intensive training program in art therapy.Mirjana Vrbaškiis a Serbian-Canadian photographer and artist. She studied literature in Canada before earning her BFA in Photography from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 2010. During her studies, she received the Taylor Wessing Portrait Award from the National Portrait Gallery in London, which led her to fully dedicate herself to portrait photography. Over time, she developed her own distinctive artistic approach. Her ongoing series, Verses of Emptiness, has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Hellerau Portrait Prize (DE), the Dutch National Portrait Prize (NL), and the Renaissance Photography Award (UK). Since 2014, Mirjana has been teaching photography at various institutions and in her Berlin studio. Her work is exhibited internationally and is part of both private and public collections.
