A blooming rye field in the former death strip - a symbol of the cycle of life, of peace, hope and the power of nature. This is where the Berlin Wall separated families and friendships, a city and a country, for over 28 years. This is where the Church of Reconciliation was first walled in and then blown up by the GDR border regime in 1985. Today, new life is being created here.
